BACK
PROS
+5 gathering allows for very fast Farming and brings resources in quickly, eco and military production bonus allows at least above average performance in most strats, best Dark Age Rush due to free Loom and production bonus, good Archer rush in Feudal Age, can easily win games by flooding Eagles Arbs and Rams in early Imperial Age
CONS
No Scouts means they are somewhat weak to Skirms in Feudal Age, no Knights and thus weak in Castle Age, weak lategame due to shallow tech tree and weak buildings
PROS
Goes through Dark Age to hit Feudal quickly, good Archer rush due to early Feudal time and production bonus, good XBow rush in Castle, good Early Imperial attack due to cheap Town Centers and range bonuses for Arbs/LBows
CONS
Lack strong eco between Feudal and late Castle Age, poor late game due to shallow tech tree
PROS
Virtually immune to Feudal Age rushing due to free Town Watch and cheap Skirms and 20% stronger buildings, reaches Imperial relatively early and has a strong Arb-Halb-Ram rush, wide tech tree and strongest Bombard Towers make them viable in lategame, can field cheap armies late game with cheap Skirms and Halbs
CONS
Overall very slow civ due to lacking economic bonuses, no Dark Age bonus, majority of units are missing some upgrades
PROS
Woodcutting bonus is strong and useful for all map types and allows at least above average performance with most strats, above average Archer and XBow rush due to woodcutting bonus, best Halbs + Onagers + Rams combo in early Imp, ridiculously powerful late game due to Siege
CONS
No cons. The best civs will have negligible cons.
PROS
Weird start can sometimes put them a villager or two ahead, cheaper techs in Imperial Age means a variety of strategies can be performed in Imperial Age
CONS
Weird start is can be detrimental in Dark Age, technology bonus negligible in Feudal, tech bonus poor in Castle Age, poor lategame due to shallow tech tree except for Bombard Towers
PROS
Strongest Knights, good boom starting in Castle Age, very fast Castle drop with Fast Castle strat
CONS
Lack bonuses in Dark Age, free Farm tech bonus means little in Feudal Age, poor late game due to shallow tech tree
PROS
Best Infantry hands down due to sheer cheapness, Huskarls + Halbs combination nearly impossible to counter in Imp
CONS
Lacks economic bonuses means they are bogged down most of the game until Imperial
PROS
Best economic tech in the game means they get troops out in higher quantities and earlier than other civs and perform most strats above average, great Drush, great Scout rush, massing Cavalry Archers OP in Castle Age
CONS
Shallow tech tree means a poor late game
PROS
Hits Feudal very quickly due to cheaper drop-off building bonus, good Archer rush due to aforementioned bonus, very good early Imperial thanks to 25% faster attacking Halbs and Fully Upgraded Arbalests and Rams, can substitute Rams for the best Trebs in the game
CONS
Eco bonuses are lacking after Feudal Age, poor late game
PROS
Strongest late game civ period. Massed Siege Onagers are extremely hard to counter combined with Bombard Towers and/or War Wagons.
CONS
No eco bonus AND no strong early game bonuses either means they rarely see the Imperial Age
PROS
Great economic bonus, fast Dark Age due to extra Food from Sheep and Wild boars, good Archer rush due to fast Feudal and cheaper Archers, can easily win games in early Imperial due to Eagles and cheap Archers and Rams, strong late game thanks to Eagles and Plumes and extra gold from eco bonus
CONS
Farming is actually slower than all other civs, no Scouts means they are somewhat weak to Skirms in Feudal, no Knights for Castle Age warfare
PROS
Fast Feudal time due to faster gathering from Wild Boars, good Archer rush due to fast Feudal time, best Scout Rush due to fast gathering from Deers, very strong and useable Siege, massed Mangudai are OP late game
CONS
No eco bonus after early Feudal, no cheap and effective until later in Imperial Age besides faster Siege Rams
PROS
Above average economic bonus, moderately fast Feudal Age time thanks to extra resources, extremely powerful late game due to War Elephants
CONS
No strong bonuses in Castle Age and beyond
PROS
Unparalleled tech tree with many strong units in the Imperial Age, Mamelukes are borderline OP
CONS
Will rarely see Imperial Age because Market bonus is only really useable in late Feudal and not very strong
PROS
Conquistadors are OP in Castle Age, wide tech tree for various trategies late game, cheap Blacksmith techs allows for ease of use of those strategies, can field very cheap armies with strong Skirms Halbs and Hussars
CONS
Weak economic bonus until late Castle Age thus they are weak the first half of the game, best units are too expensive to use in early Imperial
PROS
Farming bonus is strong and helps from Feudal Age and on and allows them to perform most strategies with above average performance, good at defending from Feudal Age rushes and good at performing most Feudal Age rush strategies, good boom in Castle Age, good tech tree for late game especially Siege and Bombard Towers
CONS
Nothing in Dark Age, nothing for early Imp rushing
PROS
Gold mining bonus is strong after Castle Age, deadly in early Imperial Age and on due to quick access to Hand Cannoneers and Bombard Cannons, deadly late Imperial Age due to Elite Janns-Bombard Cannons-Bombard Towers
CONS
Gold mining bonus is weak before Castle Age making it difficult for Turks to reach Imperial
The Vikings are the only civ where I'll mention naval prowess, and that's because the Vikings are the Alpha and Omega of the game. Nobody can touch the Vikings at sea, they are that OP.
PROS
Free Wheelbarrow and Hand Cart allows for Vikings to perform the majority of strategies with above average performance after Dark Age is over, strong any-unit Feudal Age Rush, strong any-unit rush in Castle, very strong early Imerial with Pikemen-Siege Rams-Arbalests-Onagers
CONS
Nothing in Dark Age, weakest civ late game due to shallow tech tree and no eco bonus
